‘Long live the dead’ is a film by Sofie Hanegreefs & Kris Pannecoucke about the music and rituals around death of the Frafra people from Ghana’s Upper East Region. In the culture of the Fra Fra people in northern Ghana, a death is a reason to celebrate life.

Troubadour Stevo Atambire is a Kologo musician who plays at these funeral celebrations. With his music he honours the deceased and helps family members to say goodbye to their loved ones.
